Azure & Windows Server Engineer Contract Details Duration: 6 months Location: Dublin 2 (Hybrid work pattern) Day Rate: €500 €550 DOE Working Rights: Must hold an EU/Irish passport or valid work permit providing full-time work rights in Ireland We are seeking an experienced Azure & Windows Server Engineer for a 6-month daily-rate contract with a leading global dairy and nutrition organisation headquartered in Ireland. The successful candidate will work across both cloud and on-prem infrastructure, supporting hybrid environments, modernising legacy systems, and contributing to ongoing cloud migration initiatives. This role offers a hybrid working pattern based in Dublin 2, with a competitive day rate of €500€550 DOE. Candidates must possess an EU/Irish passport or hold a valid work permit that provides full-time working rights in Ireland. Role Overview This position requires a versatile infrastructure engineer with strong Azure experience and deep knowledge of Windows Server environments. You will be responsible for maintaining existing systems, supporting CommVault backups and DR processes, and driving migrations from on-premise to Azure. Key Responsibilities Azure / Cloud Build, manage, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure. Support hybrid cloud/on-prem environments. Assist with the migration of applications and systems from on-prem to Azure. Implement best-practice cloud governance, security, and cost optimisation. Troubleshoot Azure networking, connectivity, and identity issues. Windows Server / On-Prem Support and maintain Windows Server environments across the enterprise. Manage and monitor CommVault backup operations. Test, validate, and document Disaster Recovery procedures. Perform server upgrades, patching cycles, and general system maintenance. Ensure high reliability and stability of on-prem infrastructure. Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, identity). Proven experience working in hybrid infrastructure environments. Solid Windows Server administration experience ). Experience with enterprise backup solutions, CommVault highly preferred. Background in server patching, upgrades, DR processes, and documentation. Experience supporting migration initiatives from on-prem to Azure.
