About the role:
The Business, Analysis and Reporting (BAR) team is a key partner for all value streams across Payment Integrity & Managed Services. The BAR team's mission is to develop and sustain a deep understanding of our business's operations and associated data (operational and financial), to create and maintain the metrics, reporting, modeling, and analysis needed to measure performance and drive continuous improvement.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analysis Consultant, partnering with the Data Mining and Recoveries value stream within Non-Clinical Payment Integrity services. You will be challenged to analyze, review, and forecast data for operational and business planning. You will build relationships with our key partners and will enable our operations partners to make key decisions and to drive continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to grow and develop in a diverse team, and you will be empowered to impact the health care system through the analysis and interpretation of data and presenting recommendations for business solutions.

Primary Responsibilities of the Business Analyst Consultant:

Analyze, review, forecast, and trend complex data to identify variances and opportunities

Support timely delivery of DM scorecards with supporting analysis meeting all deadlines including business performance against targets

Support analysis and interpretation of results for operational business reviews and planning

Monitor performance, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of major variances

Assist in establishing operational scorecards as well as appropriate business and/or client level targets based on analysis

Support reporting automation and dashboard development utilizing BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx) to enhance reporting capabilities.

Develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research & analysis of data & business processes to drive financial savings and operational efficiencies

Develop, support, and present ad‑hoc client and operational reports to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership

Develop innovative approaches to achieve deliverables and drive continuous improvement

Support short- and long‑term operational/strategic business activities through analysis

Develop and document complex business analysis and reporting requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Experience in report design and performance analysis

Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Intermediate to Advanced Tableau, Alteryx, or equivalent tool experience and aptitude for learning new BI systems

Experience working with databases such as DB2, Teradata, SQL Server, Snowflake and Oracle

Experience in analyzing and presenting business/operations and financial analyses to internal and external clients and senior executives

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with health care operations

High standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized

Highly motivated and driven individual with the ability to think creatively

Ability to review the analysis and interpretation of others' work

Experience in analysis of business processes and workflows, and providing evaluations, benchmarks, and/or process improvement recommendations

Soft Skills:

Excellent ability to communicate analyses including trends and opportunities to clients and the business both verbally and in writing
