We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate QA Engineer with an interest in automated testing to join our team, working across major client projects and internal products. This candidate will join a small, focused Quality Engineering team working within the legislative space. The ideal candidate will be someone who is comfortable in taking ownership and setting direction.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Rathfarnham, Dublin with flexibility offered per the candidates needs on the balance between being on site (at least 2 days per week) and working from home.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage defects throughout SDLC by executing tests at both a functional and non-functional level across multiple projects.
2. Manage and grow business regression suites.
3. Collate, analyse, and report on QA related metrics and provide progress updates to management and product and project stakeholders.
4. Be able to run and report results from automated test suites run against various implementations.
5. Implement maintenance updates to automated test scripts which are in place.
6. Work closely with product and project teams to create and maintain detailed, effective test plans.
7. Correctly estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
8. Ensure QA standards and processes are adhered to, executed consistently all the while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimisation of testing processes, taking ownership of those where appropriate.
9. Participate in quality driven activities with external clients, as needed, representing the team and supporting the User Acceptance Testing phases of projects.
10. Take a crucial role in peer review sessions to ensure high quality work is produced consistently across the team.

Requirements:

1. Show aptitude in working with and maintaining automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Robot Framework in Python)
2. Knowledge on how to automate functional UI and API tests
3. Understanding of XML data format.
4. Strong knowledge of software testing theory, methodologies, processes, and best practices
5. Understanding of how to write clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
6. Knowledge of using test management tools i.e. TFS, JIRA (Xray Plug-in)
7. Knowledge of testing APIs (functional and non-functional) using tools such as Postman
8. Knowledge of performance or/and load testing and usage of monitoring tools (JMeter or similar)
9. Be able to talk to Agile/Scrum environment and have a good understanding of the principles
10. Can identify, report, and manage QA related risks
11. Able to define, communicate and implement process improvements
12. Good organizational and task management skills
13. Capacity to manage priorities and deadlines; capacity to work in a rapidly growing environment
14. Degree in computer science or related field

Nice to Have:

1. Programming experience is desirable, preferably in Python or JavaScript.
2. ISTQB certification or related qualifications
3. Be able to demonstrate good understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.)
4. Knowledge of publishing or content management
