Senior Principal Consultant - Hiring DevOps + Software Engineers for clients across the UK & Ireland
Galway, County Galway, Ireland • Hybrid

Our Galway-based multinational client is expanding, offering a leadership role that also includes hands-on development work in Java (Spring) and Angular. You will be responsible for defining the technical strategy and vision of the team and for mentoring multiple engineers across internal teams. You will work on strategic projects spanning multiple business units and act as the ultimate authority on technical decision making.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor engineers across multiple internal teams

Define and drive the technical strategy and vision for the team

Contribute hands-on development work primarily in Java (Spring) and Angular

Engage in strategic projects that span multiple business units

Make technical decisions and ensure high-quality, scalable solutions

Desired Tech & Leadership Skills

8+ years of experience in full stack software engineering

Extensive hands-on experience with Java (Spring) and Angular

Experience designing, building, and supporting high-transaction applications

Strong track record of leading and mentoring other engineers (junior and senior)

Experience leading teams in an Agile environment

Previous experience in the financial services sector is a plus

Role is hybrid-based in Galway and falls at Director level within the business.
