Join Lam as an IT Engineer

As a crucial member of our IT team, you'll contribute your technical assistance and guidance to projects for various systems and infrastructures. Acting as a technical liaison, you'll address complex business problems with automated systems solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving Lam's commitment to innovation and efficiency.

What You'll Do

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

1. Technical Support for End Users: Provide comprehensive technical support to end users, addressing a wide range of issues such as performing system updates, application installations and uninstallations, and troubleshooting various technical problems.
2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP CRM: Ensure seamless operation and support for these applications.
3. Ticketing System Management: Use ticketing systems to track updates on progress, manage incidents, and operate within given Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
4. Microsoft Intune and Onboarding Solutions: Use Microsoft Intune for onboarding assets and ensure smooth integration and management of IT assets.
5. Network Support and Documentation: Provide local hands-on support for tasks such as patching network cables and updating documentation to maintain accurate records of IT infrastructure.
6. Network and Firewall Infrastructure: Work with Cisco, Palo Alto, or similar technologies to ensure secure and efficient network operations.
7. Collaboration with Global Teams: Work with global teams and cross-functional departments, demonstrating the ability to take ownership of local issues and drive them towards resolution and mitigation.
8. Active Directory Management: Perform tasks such as group membership management and user account management to maintain a secure and organized directory structure.
9. VMware Experience: Onboard and manage virtual machines (VMs) to ensure efficient and effective virtualization solutions.

The candidate should exhibit strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive approach to managing and resolving IT-related issues.

Who We're Looking For

- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

University degree in computer science or a related field, excellent English language skills.

Generally, requires a minimum of 3 years of experience supporting desktops/laptops and servers in a Microsoft operating system.

'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
