Context
The NEC4 ECC Assistant Project Supervisor will assume responsibility for providing support to the NEC4 ECC Project Supervisor in overseeing all construction assurance activities for the Scheme on which they have been deployed, ensuring that works carried out by the Design and Build Contractor are carried out efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with established standards, specifications, regulatory requirements and requirements under the various contracts.
Missions/Main Duties
- Provide assistance to the NEC4 ECC Project Supervisor in representing the interests of the client.
- The role holder may be required to monitor works carried out by the Design and Build Contractors
- Witness any testing
- Check compliance with the scope
- Ensure that all works are carried out in line with the quality defined in the scope and specifications documents.
Profile/Skills
- Required to have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
Relevant experience in construction management / supervision on road / infrastructure projects including reinforced concrete structures.
Land survey experience required including setting out.
- Safepass accreditation is desirable.
- Chartered / Incorporated / Associate Engineer of a relevant professional body is desirable.
- Fully proficient in the use of MS Office applications and other project tools and methodologies;
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to create a collaborative culture across project teams;
- Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure high quality service delivery;
- Ability to deal with and resolve unforeseen risks and issues;
