What is the opportunity?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Product Owner to join our team at Bank of Ireland on a 12-18 month contract to cover maternity leave.

The main responsibility of the role is to define the overall vision for products, manage backlog items, and decide on features based on client and stakeholder preferences. The Product Owner will oversee the roadmaps for our digital platforms and implement Product Management frameworks within the team.

In this role, you will;

- Collaborate with users and clients to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements.
- Define the product vision and create a roadmap aligned with this vision.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog according to requirements.
- Coordinate all stages of product development, including design and implementation.
- Develop user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Supervise and evaluate product progress at each stage.
- Work closely with the team and end-users, participate in Scrum meetings and sprints.

What will make you stand out?

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Product Owner on digital customer-facing platforms, with strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies. Proficiency in analytics tools and understanding of user-centered design principles are essential.

Additional preferred qualifications include:

- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- SAFe Certification (beneficial).
- Experience with behavioral economics, heuristics, or FinTech (a plus).

Essential Qualifications

- Professional Scrum Product Owner II or III (PSPO).

The role is within the I.T. group of the Wealth and Insurance business unit, comprising a dedicated team across the software delivery lifecycle. The role involves managing product vision, roadmaps, and backlogs for key digital applications.

This is a hybrid role based in Dublin, Ireland, with travel as required for collaboration.
