Harrington Group are now recruiting for a Company Accountant to join our team. The position is based onsite at our Headquarters in Kilkelly, Co. Mayo. Key Objective: As a Company Accountant you will consult with our Finance Team, Third Party providers and clients to provide strong support in relation to the company's overall accounting process. The role involves assisting in the maintenance, reporting and management of the company's finances. Principal Duties: Review and prepare financial accounts and tax computations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Prepare and release monthly management accounts and year-end accounts. Create cashflow and revised budget forecasts to facilitate informed decision-making. Develop annual budgets and perform variance analysis to support financial planning. Analyse and report on factors influencing business performance to non-financial stakeholders. Address ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests as required. Work closely with Divisional Finance, HR, IT, Health & Safety and Operations to streamline processes and remove integration obstacles. Act as a trusted advisor, challenging constructively where necessary and influencing decision making at all levels. Identify risks, issues, and opportunities during integration and drive pragmatic, timely solutions. Knowledge / Skills/ Experience Qualified (ACCA or ACA) with a minimum of 2 years PQE. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and clients. Demonstrated professionalism, ambition, and customer-focused attitude. Strong organizational abilities, including prioritization, time management, and planning. Ability to quickly learn and collaborate effectively within a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel & Word) is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise under pressure. Trustworthy & discreet when dealing with confidential information. Able to communicate and be fluent in English (written and spoken) Flexible and adaptable. Training provided in bespoke company software.
