Job Summary

We're looking for a seasoned data professional to join our team as a Senior Data Platform /Solutions Analyst. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between complex business needs and technical solutions, with a strong focus on data delivery across the reinsurance domain.

You'll help design and implement modern, scalable data solutions using platforms such as Snowflake.

This position is Hybrid in Dublin - Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyse, and translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications, working with stakeholders across reinsurance and actuarial teams.
- Data Architecture & Modeling
- Partner with data engineers to design efficient and scalable data models and pipelines that ensure accuracy, consistency, and performance.
- Support the end-to-end process:design, development, and deployment of data-driven solutions such as ETL processes, data marts, and reporting dashboards.
- Develop strong relationships with business users, translating technical details into actionable insights and business-friendly language.
- Data Troubleshooting & Optimisation
- Identify and resolve data-related issues using advanced SQL and analytical techniques. Ensure data integrity and support continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements for the role

- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data modelling, and solution delivery
- Strong understanding of reinsurance operations and data domains
- Prior experience working with actuarial teams or actuarial data
- Proficiency in SQL and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Business Objects)
- Experience with data warehousing and lakehouse architecture
- Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration concepts
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English
- Must be a Europeancitizen or have a work permit for Ireland

Preferred:

Experience with modern cloud data platforms, especially Snowflake and/or Data Virtuality

Exposure to data governance and metadata management

Background in actuarial science or reinsurance underwriting/claims analytics
