Post Summary:
The School of Religion seeks an Executive Officer (EO) to join our team as the School continues a significant period of development. The EO, based in Dublin, will play an important role in helping the School to successfully grow and meet its strategic goals and objectives in an increasingly demanding and competitive environment.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive and integrated administrative service to support the School’s activities focused primarily on the School’s Undergraduate provision plus related activities. Responsibilities include:
1. Managing, planning, and reporting on all aspects of the School’s Undergraduate programmes throughout the student lifecycle (from pre-admission enquiries through registration, examinations and results, and progression to graduation).
2. Assisting with events, marketing, and promotion of the Undergraduate provision.
3. Increasing alumni/ae engagement and public outreach.
4. Assisting with the implementation of specific projects as directed by the Head of School or School Manager.
Student recruitment is a key component of the role, and the postholder must therefore have the ability to communicate effectively with all potential applicants, including teenagers, their parents and teachers, young adults, and mature students. An encouraging and patient demeanour is essential, as is a resourceful, problem-solving approach.
Post status: Permanent
Hours of Post: 35 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Executive Officer Merged Salary Scale (€32,191 - €50,199 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
