Utilities Commissioning Engineer
Location: Tralee (On-site/Project-based)
Hourly Rate: 50-55/hr
Role Overview:
The Utilities Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the execution of commissioning activities on utility systems including HVAC, water treatment, compressed air, steam, and electrical utilities. The role focuses on testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring utilities meet operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and execute commissioning plans and test procedures for all utility systems.
- Conduct functional testing, performance verification, and troubleshooting of HVAC, water, steam, compressed air, and electrical systems.
- Work closely with construction, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve commissioning issues.
- Generate detailed commissioning reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and project quality standards.
- Support handover processes to operations teams post commissioning.

Qualifications and Certifications:

- Minimum 5 years experience commissioning utilities in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or industrial projects.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
- Certification or training in commissioning engineering (e.g., Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), or equivalent).
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, water treatment, compressed air, steam, and electrical utility systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, ISA, and GMP guidelines.
- Health and Safety certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) mandatory.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
