What you can expect: Join our Global Architecture function, as we look to empower a highly skilled and innovative Lead Architect to help spearhead the development of cutting-edge digital products and MCP-based AI Agents to enhance colleague productivity and client engagement across our Global broking businesses. You will be responsible for acting as a Global advisor in relation to AI technologies and solutions, guiding Solution Architects, Technical Leaders, Developers in building functionally rich, scalable, secure and user-centric solutions that deliver advanced AI capabilities into our Enterprise's application estate. You will provide assurance over all new AI related solutions, ensuring that they are built with best practices, focussed on security, performance, maintainability, reusability and in alignment with Marsh and MMC standards, guidelines and principles. We will look for you to bring a "make it happen" approach to your work as this role is critical to the success of Marsh and will have the visibility of our Global leadership teams. Reporting to our Head of Architecture (London), this role will be based out of Dublin office location on a hybrid working pattern. As you will joining our Global Architecture community, you will be expected to be flexible with your working pattern, as your colleagues will be based in Central Europe, Asia/Pacific, and the Americas. Within your first 3-12 months you will evaluate existing projects, assess the required AI capabilities, define and drive the AI target landscape, and creating roadmaps that deliver the necessary functionality to drive the business. What you need to have: Extensive Solution or Enterprise Architecture experiencewith hands on experience of architectural design and implementation of solutions using Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), API integrations, containerization (Kubernetes), Node.js, Python, FastAPI. Expertise in developing and deploying enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions, such as LLMs, RAG architectures, MCP and multi-modal AI applications. Deep knowledge of LLMs (GPT, Claude, LLaMA, Mistral, etc.), prompt engineering, agent memory, tool calling, and autonomous task execution. A strong background in or knowledge of Software Development delivery. What makes you stand out: Experience collaborating with colleagues of different countries & cultures. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Strong Understanding of AI observability, performance monitoring, and ethical guidelines in GenAI systems. Innovative thinking and designing creative solutions to complex technical challenges. An understanding of Insurance Broking or Risk Management processes and solutions. We will count on you to: Become our Subject Matter Expert on AI-based technologies and solutions. Act as a trusted advisor to Senior Operations and Technology colleagues, evangelising about AI and its practical application within our business. Research AI technical advancement and practical use cases, assessing the potential benefit to our Client and Operations areas. Take ownership for proof-of-concept projects to validate benefits, coordinating with business units and service providers. Provide critical review and feedback on AI related proposals and initiatives, providing technical expertise for projects on a consulting and troubleshooting basis. Perform assurance over AI components and services that are developed by our Solution Architecture and technical delivery teams. Ensure quality of technology deliverables by contributing to and communication of standards and best practices for development, quality assurance, security, and service on-boarding. Keep current with industry trends (including solution architecture frameworks and patterns, emerging technologies, best practices); communicate opportunities to benefit from new trends and technologies to leadership and business unit peers and leaders. Advise and mentor technology colleagues and team members on technology skills, principles and processes/technologies to leadership and business unit peers and leaders.
