About the Job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager, you are responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate management of inventory levels across EMEA and APAC data centers. This role plays a critical part in maintaining seamless data center operations by optimizing stock levels of critical components, preventing stockouts and overstocks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet the dynamic demands of the data center environment. You will leverage your expertise in inventory control and data analysis to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and ensure the continuous availability of essential equipment.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are a diverse, upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage inventory levels, ensure accuracy and optimal stock levels to meet customer demand and avoid stock-outs or overstock situations.
- Monitor inventory movement and analyze trends to identify opportunities for improvement in inventory control processes and controlling aging inventory.
- Understand the data center critical components and their impact on operational continuity.
- Develop an inventory strategy for data center operations and drive the Third-party lab (3PL) teams to operational inventory through inventory metrics and KPI's.
- Specific focus on managing inventory across data centers in EMEA and APAC, understanding regional nuances and logistical complexities.
