We work in a hybrid mode 3+2 , with a minimum of 3 days at the office (with mandatory Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and a maximum of 2 days at the home office.
The location of our office is Unit 1101, Building 1000, Cork (city), Munster.
We employ only via an employment contract – full-time employment.

As a Data Scientist at SolarWinds, you will join a collaborative, innovative team driving business transformation through data. You’ll influence decisions by primarily delivering insights with machine learning, intelligence, and secondarily delivering generative AI solutions, participating in both independent analysis and team-driven projects. The role involves identifying opportunities, building and deploying models, performing thorough analyses, and communicating findings to stakeholders across the organization. You’ll apply advanced analytics—regression, clustering, deep learning, NLP—and support solutions like Azure-hosted RAG LLMs, agents and other continuously developing AI tasks. Success in this position means operating with curiosity and continual learning, both independently and within cross-functional teams. At SolarWinds, your impact will span model creation, deployment, monitoring, and support for data-driven strategies in a fast-paced, people-first environment.
Responsibilities Focus on carrying out the complete life cycle of data science projects, including identifying, training, and deploying models to achieve business objectives.
Perform detailed analysis to thoroughly understand data and identify key trends and conclusions. Provide analytic insights focused on organizational operations.
Apply advanced statistical modeling techniques to business outcomes, such as regression, time series, longitudinal and categorical analysis, survival analysis, clustering, segmentation, neural networks, deep learning, embedding, vector similarity and natural language processing
Conduct data wrangling and preprocessing across diverse sources—structured, semi-structured, and unstructured—to prepare data for analysis and modeling.
Perform detailed analysis to uncover key trends, inform decision-making, and deliver insights focused on organizational operations.
Implement and maintain ML pipelines using MLops frameworks and model lifecycle management
Monitor deployed models over time through statistical evaluation and assessed business effectiveness using model results and their influence on KPIs.
Function within a data science team and adhere to established processes. Collaborate with data science, business intelligence, development, engineering, data governance, and other relevant functional areas.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into impactful, data-driven solutions. Engage regularly with stakeholders to evaluate project outcomes and cultivate relationships for new analytic opportunities.
Communicate across multiple channels to access data, identify important data features, and work with developers to build data structures.
Answer data-related questions independently with minimal supervision.
Present AI and data science projects in clear, actionable terms to technical and non-technical audiences.
