Buyer 3 – Medical Device
Location: Gort, Co. Galway
Hybrid Role - 2 days on site
Department: Supply Chain / Purchasing
Become a key player in our Global Supply Chain team as a Buyer , supporting the medical device portfolio that helps improve lives around the world. This role offers the opportunity to manage critical supply flows, collaborate cross-functionally, and ensure continuity of supply across a complex international network.
What You’ll Do
Action MRP messages and other supply chain requirements to maintain material availability.
Place accurate purchase orders with approved vendors based on MRP signals, ensuring delivery schedules are aligned and achievable.
Maintain up-to-date master data in Oracle (EBS) for purchasing parameters, lead times, and part attributes.
Coordinate and execute inter-company PO flows across Natus sister sites globally.
Optimize inventory levels while safeguarding supply continuity and minimizing Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH).
Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing to support supplier negotiations, cost reviews, and contract renewals.
Coordinate closely with internal functions including Planning, Quality, Engineering, Compliance, Trade, and Finance to resolve supply-related issues.
Manage Engineering Change Requests to minimize obsolescence and support New Product Introductions (NPI).
Prepare and analyse purchasing reports, supplier performance data, and metrics to support continuous improvement.
Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain team.
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones in a global manufacturing environment.
What We’re Looking For – Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a purchasing or buyer role within a manufacturing environment (medical device experience advantageous).
Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems – Oracle EBS experience highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
Good understanding of regulatory and quality standards such as QSR, ISO13485, and MDD/MDR.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and supplier relationship management skills.
Preferred Skills / Certifications
IIPMM or APICS certification preferred.
Proficiency in Italian is desirable but not essential.
