Location: Dublin 8
Duration: 3-month temporary contract
Hourly Rate: €19.57
Our client, based in Dublin 8, is seeking a Clerical Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the department. Working under the direction of the assigned supervisor or manager, the Clerical Officer will play a key role in maintaining high standards of accuracy, organisation, and professionalism.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
General Administrative Support
- Perform day-to-day clerical tasks, including correspondence, post management, typing, filing, and occasional document delivery to court.
- Log, track, and manage all incoming queries, telephone calls, and complaints—ensuring prompt, professional responses and accurate records.
- Assist in preparing and issuing reports, booklets, and legal documentation.
- Maintain and update case management systems and departmental databases with precision and attention to detail.
Operational and Departmental Support
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to ensure the smooth delivery of services.
- Develop an understanding of the organisation’s structure, goals, and operational framework.
- Recognise how the department’s work contributes to wider organisational and service-user outcomes.
- Promote cooperation and communication across teams to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Professional Conduct and Standards
- Adhere to organisational values, standards, and codes of conduct.
- Demonstrate discretion and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Apply knowledge of internal policies and procedures to achieve accurate and effective outcomes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role—experience in a legal, public sector, or similar environment is an advantage.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and database management.
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively within a busy team environment.
