If you have DevOps or Software Developer experience and you’re seeking a new remote role, we want to hear from you. Cognizant is recruiting a PLC Engineer, and the remote technology role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.
As a PLC Engineer, you will manage and provide for the development of all DCS, PLCs and SCADA systems to industry standards, GAMP5. You will also ensure the design, development, maintenance and troubleshooting of automated systems on site is completed promptly.
In your first few weeks in this PLC Engineer role, you can expect to:
Provide project support, including coding, design, testing and IOQ support
Support on-site PLCs including Siemens and Allan Bradley PLC
Initiate, Implement, and Qualify Proactive site changes and small projects for the site
Join the daily support rota for the department
Coordinate tasks to ensure timely delivery
Monthly reporting of tasks completed and support provided.
To apply for this PLC Engineer role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience. You will also require the following:
5+ years of Automation Experience in a GMP environment
Automation PLC experience required in Siemens S7, Allen Bradley PLCs
Familiarity with other serialization systems like Uhlmann, Seavision, Jekson, Systech, Micro Focus Application Life Cycle Management Quality Center, Tracelink, and ServiceNow.
