This Accounting Manager will lead our small accounting team in Ireland. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Irish GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations, and some experience in managing a small team. Description Key responsibilities: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Irish GAAP and IFRS. Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax requirements. Manage statutory audits, liaising with external auditors and regulatory authorities. Maintain general ledger integrity, reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial adjustments. Implement and enforce internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance and efficiency. Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and banking relationships. Supervise the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections. Assist in budget preparation, financial planning, and cash flow forecasting. Provide variance analysis and insights to support business decision-making. Oversee the use of accounting systems (Nav Business Central, SAP, etc.) and recommend improvements. Work closely with senior management, finance teams, and operational departments to support financial goals. Profile A successful Accounting Manager should have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) required. 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a team lead/ managerial role. Experience in a multinational or corporate environment preferred. Strong communication skills and be detail oriented with the ability to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment. USGAAP and SOX experience advantageous Able to apply consistent standards while adapting to frequent changes in Company requirements. Be flexible and able to work with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Strong Microsoft Excel, and Word skills are required. Experience with Business Central or similar ERP is a plus. Fluency in English and another European language would be highly regarded (French, Italian or Spanish) Job Offer An attractive salary package ranging from €60,000 - €70,000 depending on experience Bonus and benefits package that complements the salary.
