AUTOMATION QA ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for an Automation QA Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Poland. Our client is one of the largest food retailers in the world, operating thousands of stores in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Europe. The company operates through multi-format stores and online. It operates stores in various formats differentiated by size and range of products sold, including large, small, dotcom only, and one-stop. They offer fresh food, drinks, bakery, grocery, home and entertainment products, baby products, clothing, household appliances, frozen food, pets, health and beauty products, consumer electronics, and electrical goods. It also provides consultancy, retail banking, and insurance services. The company was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in Welwyn Garden City, the UK.
Office work is expected at 2-3 days per week (Kraków).
Requirements 4+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies with a holistic, lifecycle-oriented approach.
Hands-on experience with Playwright for both UI and API test automation.
Experience in performance testing using tools such as Gatling or k6.
Understanding of test infrastructure setup, including CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities Collaborate with engineering teams during refinement and planning sessions to define test approaches.
Assist with developing and maintaining automated test suites for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Execute performance and load testing to ensure system scalability and reliability.
Set up and maintain test environments and support continuous testing through CI/CD integration.
Document test coverage, generate clear test reports, and ensure traceability of defects.
Leverage AI-powered tools where applicable to enhance testing productivity and coverage.
