Clinical Data Manager Quality Full time and permanent opportunity Mater Private Network Cork are currently recruiting for a Clinical Data Manager to provide professional support to the Quality & Risk Department, with responsibility for designing structures and programmes to support the Hospital Quality & Accreditation Programmes. Essential Skills and Knowledge A health professional background e.g. Nursing or Allied Health Professional or equivalent experience. Masters Degree in a health-related discipline desirable Advanced I.T qualification essential. Strong I.T. skills including database management and experience with statistical analysis software Joint Commission International (JCI) & HIQA experience desirable Experience of managing research or health related projects Good interpersonal skills Awareness/sensitivity toward patient needs. Discretion and ability to use initiative. 3 years experience in a relevant clinical administration role in an acute hospital Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven managerial /leadership skills and an ability to motivate. Detailed knowledge of the hospitals operation, structure and process in the context of the quality role Duties within the role will include: Clinical reviews of patient records. Oversee the management of Local Investigations and Root Cause Analysis reviews. Oversee, manage and review all clinical data being captured within the Quality department and any other relevant Departments ensuring that clinical data capture and reports are fit for purpose and meet operational, management and clinical audit requirements. Publish relevant and agreed data for monthly, quarterly and annual reports. The reconciliation of reports from various sources throughout the hospital that contribute to the annual report ensuring reliability and validity of information Provide training within the hospital to relevant staff as required on clinical data capture and systems. Disseminate summaries of clinical data to relevant personnel. Co-ordinate the production of information in order to supply reports for specific purposes or groups within and outside the hospital. Act as a resource for audit and research projects within the MPH. Assist the Quality & Risk Manager in ensuring the objectives of the Departments meet the strategic needs of the hospital.
