Job Title: Chief Physicist

Cork University Hospital seeks an experienced and enthusiastic individual to lead the management and contribution to a large service covering the Cork-Kerry region in Ireland. The successful candidate will oversee Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Non-ionising Radiation services, and contribute to the wider medical physics profession in Ireland.

Responsibilities

Manage and contribute to the development of Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Non-ionising Radiation services

Lead and manage a team of professionals to ensure high-quality patient care

Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement radiation safety protocols

Contribute to the development of medical physics education and training programs in Ireland

Qualifications

PhD in Medical Physics or a related field

Significant experience in managing a large medical physics service

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment
