Job Title: Logistics Coordinator Location: Kilkenny Industry: Transport & Haulage Type: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week, MondayFriday, 9:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m.) Salary & Benefits: Onsite Parking, Sick Pay, Full Training Provided Company Overview: Our client, a leading transport haulage firm based in Kilkenny, is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join its team. The successful candidate will collaborate with transport planners to manage and monitor deliveries across Ireland and the UK. Key Responsibilities: Plan and coordinate efficient routing of daily deliveries in Ireland and the UK. Operate internal systems to book and allocate jobs, schedule deliveries, and manage collection points. Book shipping, assign jobs to drivers, and handle day-to-day route planning. Ensure all customer requirements are met and service levels are maintained. Communicate transportation delays and collaborate with partners to optimise fleet dispatch. Support the Transport Planner with daily operations. Ensure adherence to safety procedures and incident response protocols. Perform general administrative duties as required. Requirements: 35 years experience in route planning within the domestic logistics or transport sector. Strong understanding of RSA/HSA regulations, driver hours, load security, and ADR (desirable). Confident decision-maker with effective problem-solving and multitasking abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines effectively. Strong geographical knowledge and transport planning skills. High attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team. Additional Information: Flexibility required during peak operational periods (some additional hours may apply). Full training provided to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
