SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, CField is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our existing Finance team. The successful candidate will manage the company payroll process in its entirety.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage, prepare, and process payroll for hourly and salary (weekly & monthly) payroll using Sage Micropay and Sage Cloud Payroll
2. Responsible for recording and processing of Monthly Allocations for all staff
3. Liaise with HR team in relation to relevant employee information for payroll purposes
4. Understand and apply company SOPs as and when required
5. Reconcile payments in the areas of compensatory benefits and payroll taxes
6. Address all payroll queries as they arise in a timely manner
7. Participation in continuous process improvement to payroll preparations
8. Complete all month end payroll reports and processes
9. Completion of (CSO) reports.
10. Other ad-hoc duties such as updating HRM & Payroll systems with employee information.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

1. Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist with minimum 3 – 5 years' experience
2. Payroll qualification is preferred, but not essential
3. An excellent understanding of Irish payroll processes, tax, and legal frameworks.
4. Working knowledge of UK payroll
5. Proficient in the use of Sage Micropay/Sage Cloud Payroll
6. Experience in construction industry is preferred, but not essential
7. Ability to build excellent working relationships with a wide range of people
8. Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
9. Highly organised and detail oriented
10. Excellent IT & Microsoft Office skills
