Overview
Support Worker - Residential, 30 hours per week. Job reference: SW_COIS30_0509.

Responsibilities

Learn about me: what I need and what is important to me

Adapt their communication style to suit my needs

Be fun and engaging as well as having patience and being kind

Assist with daily living activities and routines including personal care

Support me to engage in my community

Help me learn new skills

Support me to understand my rights and help me make my own decisions

Qualifications

A full QQI level 5 major award in Health/Care is essential

Aware ness of Key Worker/ Support Worker role and philosophy surrounding support to people with complex needs

Programme Planning and Person Centred Plans

Availability to work shifts on a rota basis including evenings and weekends and waking night duty shifts

Full driver's licence (manual) desirable

Permission to work in Ireland essential

Skills/Abilities

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work on own initiative

Fluent English and excellent communication skills

Full, clean drivers licence (manual) desirable
