My client is a leading Civil Engineering company in Ireland and The UK and due to their ongoing growth and a large pipeline of future projects, they are looking for an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Manager to join their team in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Duties: Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring policies comply with local regulations Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards Ability to lead and motivate a team Performance management and strong team delivery. Ensure employees are aware of and understand safety protocols Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities Staying up to date with health and safety regulations Liaise with the client and regulatory bodies on health, safety, and environmental matters Provide regular updates and reports on safety performance and compliance metrics to senior leadership team Requirements: Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or in a similar role Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and best practices Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lead and motivate a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety management software Competent report writing skills for submission to Senior Leadership team Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field Full Irish Driving Licence If you are interested in applying for this role, please click the link below or send your CV to Skills: Health & Safety ehs Safety Safety Management Occupational Health and Safety
