The team manages core functionality for the business and is dedicated to designing and delivering innovative solutions while maintaining and modernizing legacy systems that are crucial for keeping the business running. We have an established team taking on exciting challenges, using analytics and reporting to drive the impact of recognition and it’s use in the businesses of our clients. You will have the autonomy to help design, build and deploy this product, which will serve our enterprise customer base. We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team in expanding and improving our Reporting solutions. This is grown-up software engineering **Tech stack:** Python, Flask, RESTful webservices, AWS, QuickSight, Terraform, API, Postgres, Redshift, Jenkins, Sonar, Git, Docker/Containerization, JS and React based frameworks, Typescript. **/*/*This is a hybrid role requiring three days a week onsite in our Dublin office/*/*****What we can offer you:*** An opportunity to influence the technical strategy which is led by the Principal Engineer for the whole team.* High-profile deliverables that involve a broad range of skills, including software design, development, testing and deployment to AWS Cloud infrastructure.* An opportunity to break down large features and epics into smaller items to enable others in the squad to work more efficiently* An opportunity to co-ordinate complex deployments and improve developer experience at Workhuman by bringing in new ideas unconstrained by existing approaches* An opportunity to enable the team to work efficiently toward their goals (e.g. assisting your Engineering Manager with prioritising work, identifying dependencies, interpreting team retro feedback, caring about the team's documentation)**The skills you will bring:*** Ideally, 6+ years of back-end development experience.* You have experience developing web-based applications at the enterprise level* Problem solving is a strength of yours. You bring the ability to interpret data and business strategy, understanding constraints and trade-offs.* You have experience in mentoring other team members about best practices and fostering consistent coding styles and guidelines* Experience in Python programming, including API design and development.* Experience with AWS and Cloud-first applications is a plus.* Experience with React or other Front-end frameworks is advantageous.**Achievements:*** You have led system level designs that serve as definitive examples for other engineers (transferred from the skills you will bring)* You have proven to be capable in delivering quality solutions in a fast-moving business environment* You have collaborated openly on shared items of work and communicated well in a team-oriented environment across locations.* You have demonstrated a growth mindset with a continuous focus on improving yourself and the way work gets done within your sphere of influence.* Must have exposure to data engineering teams and data-driven applications.## **The Company:***At Workhuman our missi**on is to bring more humanity to the workplace.
