Responsibilities

- Performing routine and specialized microbiological tests on clinical specimens.
- Identifying and classifying microorganisms using various techniques.
- Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.
- Documenting and managing test results and data.
- Collaborating with medical professionals to interpret findings and support patient care.

Requirements

- Bachelor/'s degree in Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- CORU registration
- Proven experience in a clinical microbiology laboratory.
- Proficiency in microbiological techniques and procedures.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality control processes.
- Full driving license and access to own car is desirable.
- Resident in Ireland and legal right to work in Ireland without restriction.
- All candidates will be required to undergo Garda Vetting.
- International Police Clearance (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 moths after the age of 16).
