**Job Description:**

AtkinsRéalis, a renowned global provider of engineering, professional consulting, and support services, is currently hiring Transportation Planners for their Dublin office in Ireland.

The candidate will play a key role in delivering an ever-expanding project portfolio across a range of major public and private clients.

This position is aimed at experienced Transport Planners looking to take on a more senior role with management responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of various projects including active travel, public transport, greenways, transport strategies, and large-scale development sites.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
  • Deliver schemes from feasibility through planning stages.
  • Manage technical projects with public and private sector clients.
  • Oversee the work of junior colleagues.
  • Communicate directly with clients on project delivery.
  • Assist the Project Manager in technical and financial project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Relevant third-level qualification (Level 8 or higher).
  • Experience in transport planning in Ireland, including policy and delivery of ABTAs or similar Local Transport Plans.
  • Strong knowledge of transport policy and guidance in Ireland.
  • Excellent report writing skills and verbal communication in English.
  • Familiarity with strategic transport modelling: experience with the NTA regional modelling system is desirable.
  • Transport modelling: experience in Linsig, Junctions 9, and/or microsimulation is desirable.
  • Client, stakeholder, and public consultation experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Initiative and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Working towards relevant chartership status.
  • Familiarity with GIS and relevant design guidance, including DMURS and National Cycle Manual.
  • Able to comply with Quality Assurance Management Systems.
