**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Cork, Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day maintenance activities at our site to ensure that all products are manufactured according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a culture of continuous improvement and excellence through our Maintenance Excellence Programme (MEP).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical or mechanical trades and experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a similar environment.

The successful applicant will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities.


**Key Responsibilities**

- Organize and manage the maintenance department, including holiday cover and time management systems.

- Ensure maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated to carry out maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.

- Maintain accurate training and safety awareness records and attendance records.

- Responsible for all facility and live utility maintenance and upkeep, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance and calibration program to minimize equipment downtime.

- Manage work requests, track maintenance history, and maintain computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

- Supervise and coordinate Reliability Engineering activities, analyzing data from Quality Assurance to improve equipment availability and reduce downtime.

- Anticipate and resolve problems in a timely manner, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing projects to enhance efficiency and reduce operating costs.

- Track, analyze, and improve key maintenance parameters, such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, and schedule compliance.

- Participate in Change Control committees for equipment changes and ensure statutory inspections are completed as required.

- Conduct performance reviews for maintenance technicians, assessing their competency, knowledge, and contribution to the team.

- Direct, maintain, and enforce the safety program for the maintenance department, reviewing safety records to uphold high standards of safety for all maintenance technicians.


**Requirements**

- Craft qualification in electrical or mechanical trades.

- Minimum 3 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a similar environment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent problem-solving skills.
