INFORM3 Recruitment are currently representing a family run manufacturing company within the Co. Dublin area. They are looking for a talented and confident Maintenance technician to join their team. This role is ideally suited to candidates experienced in electrical maintenance background, however, this role is varied so both electrical and mechanical skills are required.
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the plant's production equipment, ensuring it functions properly and is well-maintained. As an integral part of the production team, the Maintenance Technician collaborates with colleagues to achieve production targets.
The role requires flexibility in working hours, including occasional weekend work for preventative maintenance or project installations. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician should be prepared to perform other work-related duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager
Duties Include:
- Maintenance of production process equipment, including breakdown repairs, preventative/predictive maintenance, and day-to-day troubleshooting.
- Continuous improvement of production process equipment through identification and implementation of enhancement projects.
- Ancillary responsibilities such as maintaining buildings and utilities systems.
- Promoting a safety culture.
- Engaging in preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Coordinating with external contractors for relevant works on site.
- Setting up and changing over production equipment as needed.
- Specific area responsibilities when assigned.
- Compliance with GMP work procedures and documentation completion.
- Keeping equipment and maintenance logs.
- Managing spare parts systems, including monitoring stock levels, ordering, storage, and receipt/issue of materials.
- Maintaining training records as required
Criteria Required:
- - Candidates must possess an electrical maintenance background, including a National Trade Certificate in Electrical Qualification.
- The role requires a combination of electrical and mechanical skills.
- Candidates demonstrating aptitude and proficiency in both disciplines have an enhanced advantage.
- Previous experience working in the food manufacturing industry is essential.
- Proficiency in repairing PLC-controlled manufacturing plant equipment, handling and packing machinery, and pneumatic control systems.
- Demonstrated track record in diagnosing and resolving technical issues using personal initiative or collaborative teamwork.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to provide guidance and support to other team members as needed.
- Strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Experience with form & fill seal machines is essential.
- Familiarity with PLC and HMI programming.
- Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic panel building
