Role: We are looking for a Head of Group Maintenance to join our team in will be a strategic leader who can oversee preventive maintenance programs, manage budgets effectively, and drive sustainability initiatives across all locations. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in managing large-scale maintenance operations, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering excellence in both guest experience and operational performance. Proven senior leadership experience in multi-site maintenance or facilities management, ideally within hospitality, retail, or property sectors. Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including M&E, HVAC, fire safety, and statutory compliance. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, with excellent people management and communication skills. A solid track record in budget management, supplier negotiations, and contract oversight. Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Staycity sites. Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A proactive, hands-on leadership style with a practical and can-do attitude. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional qualification. Hands-on experience in sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency projects. Familiarity with CAFM systems to optimise maintenance planning and reporting. What you can do for us... Define and implement a group-wide maintenance strategy that supports Staycity's growth, operational excellence, and brand standards across multiple sites. Advise the senior leadership team on technical, compliance, and property-related matters to ensure informed decision-making. Drive sustainability initiatives to reduce energy consumption, increase efficiency, and extend the lifecycle of assets across the portfolio. Act as the bridge between live development projects and ongoing maintenance operations, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment. Oversee and monitor maintenance operations across all properties, ensuring a consistent approach and high standards at every site. Develop, implement, and enforce preventive and reactive maintenance programs to maximise uptime and minimise disruptions. Ensure all properties meet and exceed compliance requirements in health & safety, fire safety, building regulations, and statutory obligations. Establish and monitor group-wide KPIs and performance reporting to measure success and drive continuous improvement. Lead, mentor, and develop regional and local maintenance teams to deliver exceptional service across multiple locations. Design and implement training frameworks to enhance technical expertise and standardisation across the group. Develop and manage annual maintenance budgets across the group, ensuring cost control and value for money. Oversee supplier and contractor management, driving efficiency through effective procurement and strong partnerships. Lead capital expenditure planning for refurbishments, upgrades, and asset replacements to ensure long-term resilience. Manage external contractors and service providers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to Staycity brand standards.
