Production Supervisor Role

A Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing production teams to ensure efficient and effective production processes.

  • Leadership and Management:
  • • Collaborate with other area supervisors and team leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to meet customer demand and production schedules.
  • • Ensure continuous supply of components to the production line by communicating with stores.
  • • Meet all production targets as outlined by KPIs and populate target boards to monitor daily progress.
  • • Address and resolve issues affecting production, including quality, performance, processes, equipment, materials, and labour.
  • Team Development and Leadership:
  • • Direct team members to foster a multifunctional team environment with flexibility to cover all roles.
  • • Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving equipment and hardware issues.
  • • Conduct regular team meetings to align on targets, address assembly line issues, and promote a solution-focused work area.
  • • Drive a positive, can-do attitude within the team, emphasizing teamwork and high standards.
  • Quality Assurance and Improvement:
  • • Communicate quality requirements and standards to the team, ensuring adherence to documented policies and procedures.
  • • Complete required documentation related to business or regulatory requirements.
  • • Identify and implement continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Requirements:
  • • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with prior leadership or supervisory experience.
  • • Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • • Problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues proactively and effectively.
  • • Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and documentation standards in a manufacturing setting.
