Job Description
The Rheumatology Clinical Lead is a senior role responsible for providing expert care to patients with rheumatologic conditions in the acute hospital outpatients department.
Working autonomously within the multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Lead delivers high-quality care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic rheumatologic diseases.
The role involves direct patient care, leadership, and contribution to service improvement and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake and document complete episodes of patient care
- Assess, diagnose, plan, treat, and discharge patients in accordance with local policies and guidelines
- Demonstrate advanced clinical and theoretical knowledge, critical thinking, clinical leadership, and complex decision-making abilities
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Advanced clinical and theoretical knowledge of rheumatologic diseases
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team
