TN Ireland is a leading FMCG manufacturing company seeking an experienced Site Health Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of health and safety across the organisation by providing leadership and guidance.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of site health and safety metrics and meet target values.
  • Drive compliance with regulatory requirements, H&S procedures, and the Site Safety Statement.
  • Investigate significant incidents, reportable accidents, and major property damage.
  • Promote the Zero Harm initiative through training and awareness campaigns.
  • Conduct regular safety audits in conjunction with Production Area Managers and other relevant managers.
  • Implement risk assessments for new product development, equipment, and engineering requirements.
  • Ensure H&S involvement in pre-startup safety reviews and equipment walk-downs.
  • Review and revise employee, visitor, and contractor safety induction programs.
  • Develop a training strategy to cover all internal departments' needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with new legislation and standards.
  • Represent the Company during outside Agency Audits/Inspections and liaise with the Health & Safety Authority.
  • Establish and manage site Health and Safety committees.

Requirements

  • Primary degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent with a recognized Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience as an H&S Manager in an FMCG manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
  • Experience in developing and implementing world-class health and safety management systems to ISO standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Chartered member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or equivalent qualification advantageous.
  • Ability to deliver training modules to all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in developing and implementing behavioural safety programmes.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with employees at varying levels within a manufacturing organisation.
