The Maintenance Manager will play a vital role in supporting the site business through effective management of an efficient engineering function. This involves implementing KPIs for planned and preventative maintenance, reaction time to breakdowns, and cost control. Additionally, they will manage unforeseen work and ensure the deployment of resources, including contractors, within agreed budgets.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant craft apprenticeship or third-level qualification with at least 5 years of post-apprenticsip experience. They should possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of maintenance management principles, and excellent leadership and team management skills.

Key responsibilities include providing leadership to the site engineering team, coaching engineers during breakdowns and overseeing time-critical repairs. The Maintenance Manager will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance team, including determining needed repairs and improvements, establishing project priorities, and assigning work tasks.

A significant part of this role is improving production facilities and reducing costly breakdown incidents by developing proactive maintenance strategies to improve overall reliability of the plant, personnel, and production processes. The Maintenance Manager will also promote initiatives that support employee motivation, training, development, and deployment within maintenance.
