We are seeking a motivated and experienced Kitchen Staff worker to join our team. This part-time role involves preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for children in a licensed child care facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist in the preparation of infant/toddler meals
  • To transport food from the main site to the infant/toddler building
  • To maintain accurate records, including inventory and production records at the infant/toddler building
  • To adhere to all Center regulations and guidelines
  • To wash kitchenware and tableware
  • To keep the kitchen, appliances, etc., clean, sanitized, and in good working condition
  • To complete accurate food order requests and grocery shopping as needed
  • To assist with ordering supplies if requested
  • To properly store food and non-food supplies upon delivery
  • To keep all food items stored properly and at the appropriate temperature
  • To date all food items
Requirements
  • A High School diploma or equivalent plus professional experience in food service and/or nutrition
Physical and Mental Demands
  • The ability to lift 40 pounds
  • The ability to reach over head
  • Good personal hygiene (clean clothes, hair, hands, nails, etc.)
  • The ability to bend down
  • Finger dexterity
  • The ability to read and understand all documents
  • The ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • The ability to remain calm in crisis situations
