Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in financial accounting and a strong background in US GAAP.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for producing the monthly financial accounting package, including manufacturing KPIs, in accordance with US GAAP rules and within corporate deadlines.

The role will also involve performing balance sheet and P&L analysis, monthly balance sheet reconciliations including payroll, inventory, accruals, and VAT, and posting the associated journals.


Key Responsibilities:

Closing work orders and analyzing daily inventory transactions; explaining manufacturing variances by reviewing work orders and collaborating with production supervisors.

Maintaining item/cost for Bills of Material and Routings, and assisting in the annual standard cost update process.

  • Preparing E&O provisions using sound judgment.
  • Liaising with BPO on AP, AR, cash management, intercompany transactions, SOX, and fixed assets transactions.
Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working cross-functionally with department heads and non-financial leaders.

Reviewing internal control procedures for SOX compliance and assisting with internal and external audits.

Serving as the first point of contact for external auditors, preparing local statutory accounts, and assisting in the preparation of annual corporation tax computations.


Requirements:
  • A qualified accountant with at least 3 years post-qualification experience
  • Experience working in the Multinational Manufacturing sector is required
  • Strong working knowledge of SOX and US GAAP
  • Experience with Swiss GAAP an advantage
  • An experienced user of Oracle Advanced level in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience working in a diverse environment
