Job Description

This role will involve actively contributing to and leading a portfolio of planning and development projects. You will be responsible for managing relations with our existing client base, planning and managing your own work, and providing guidance to junior members of staff.

Your responsibilities will include preparing and coordinating planning applications, appeals, planning reports, feasibility studies and EIARs (non-specialist chapters). You will also provide planning advice and opinion on a range of planning and environmental policy and regulation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 3 years' experience working within the planning and development industry. You should have strong knowledge of the Irish planning processes, including planning application and development management processes, EIAR etc.

You will also need to have experience working with Design Teams in the preparation and lodgement of planning applications, planning appeals, site feasibility studies, and planning strategies. In addition, you should have experience working in Strategic / Forward Planning (e.g. the preparation of planning policy documents; strategies; statutory and non-statutory land use plans for urban and rural areas).

You will also need to have experience in undertaking public and/or stakeholder engagement exercises. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
