This continuum is made up of residential long and short-term care, Acquired Brain Injury Care, Dementia Care, and Respite Care, along with a wide variety of conditions.

A friendly and supportive home care service is also provided for our more independent and self-reliant clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Accommodation Staff and ensure duties are performed to required standards.
  • Oversee household works, ensuring completion to an acceptable standard.
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in all areas, focusing on detail.
  • Ensure housekeeping activities are documented for inspection.
  • Monitor stock control, audits, and spot-check supplies; generate POs as needed.
  • Supervise requisitioning, storage, and maintenance of cleaning supplies.
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor performance via spot checks, and provide feedback.
  • Perform audits and inspections weekly and report to the Accommodation Manager.
  • Ensure vacant rooms are ready for viewing/admission and cleaned when necessary.
  • Inspect furniture, appliances, and equipment, reporting needed replacements.
  • Ensure staff compliance with policies on attendance, performance, and health & safety.
  • Undertake emergency household duties as needed.
  • Report maintenance issues to the maintenance team immediately.
  • Implement and manage a 'green policy.' Ensure infection control and laundry guidelines are followed.
  • Supervise laundry processes, including labelling and handling personal items.
  • Monitor linen and towel quality and maintain stock levels.
  • Conduct daily staff huddles and ensure roster coverage.
  • Ensure staff present well with proper uniforms and hygiene.
  • Maintain high visibility and presence on the floor.
  • Induct and train new staff, ensuring competency with machinery and chemicals.
  • Identify training needs and plan development with HR and the Accommodation Manager.
  • Monitor staff attendance, sickness, and incidents; take action as needed with Accommodation Manager and HR Department.
  • Prepare performance reports for new staff, including reviews and improvement plans.
  • Deputise for the Accommodation Manager when required.
  • Be available for emergencies.

Requirements:

  • Previous nursing home/hospitality experience an advantage but not required.
  • The desire to be part of a team.
  • Willingness to work hard and be actively involved in the business.
  • Good attitude and warm personality.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role.
