We have two locations based in Rathgar. Our vision is to provide a continuum of care in a friendly, homely but luxurious environment right in the heart of your own neighbourhood.
This continuum is made up of residential long and short-term care, Acquired Brain Injury Care, Dementia Care, and Respite Care, along with a wide variety of conditions.
A friendly and supportive home care service is also provided for our more independent and self-reliant clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Accommodation Staff and ensure duties are performed to required standards.
- Oversee household works, ensuring completion to an acceptable standard.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in all areas, focusing on detail.
- Ensure housekeeping activities are documented for inspection.
- Monitor stock control, audits, and spot-check supplies; generate POs as needed.
- Supervise requisitioning, storage, and maintenance of cleaning supplies.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor performance via spot checks, and provide feedback.
- Perform audits and inspections weekly and report to the Accommodation Manager.
- Ensure vacant rooms are ready for viewing/admission and cleaned when necessary.
- Inspect furniture, appliances, and equipment, reporting needed replacements.
- Ensure staff compliance with policies on attendance, performance, and health & safety.
- Undertake emergency household duties as needed.
- Report maintenance issues to the maintenance team immediately.
- Implement and manage a 'green policy.' Ensure infection control and laundry guidelines are followed.
- Supervise laundry processes, including labelling and handling personal items.
- Monitor linen and towel quality and maintain stock levels.
- Conduct daily staff huddles and ensure roster coverage.
- Ensure staff present well with proper uniforms and hygiene.
- Maintain high visibility and presence on the floor.
- Induct and train new staff, ensuring competency with machinery and chemicals.
- Identify training needs and plan development with HR and the Accommodation Manager.
- Monitor staff attendance, sickness, and incidents; take action as needed with Accommodation Manager and HR Department.
- Prepare performance reports for new staff, including reviews and improvement plans.
- Deputise for the Accommodation Manager when required.
- Be available for emergencies.
Requirements:
- Previous nursing home/hospitality experience an advantage but not required.
- The desire to be part of a team.
- Willingness to work hard and be actively involved in the business.
- Good attitude and warm personality.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role.
