About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Care Worker. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities, autism, or other needs.

As a Residential Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing a range of services to support service users in achieving their goals and living a fulfilling life. This includes assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and supporting service users in making sense of their environment.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that service users receive person-centered care that is tailored to their unique needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to service users with intellectual/physical disabilities, autism, or other needs.
  • Assist service users with daily living activities, including personal care and health needs.
  • Promote independence and encourage service users to participate in community activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each service user.

Requirements:

  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • QQI/FETAC Level 7 (or higher) Award in Health and Welfare, Healthcare Support, or Applied Social Care, or Degree in any relevant discipline.
  • Full clean driver's license.
