Automation engineers play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of production processes. This exciting opportunity is for an experienced automation engineer to join a leading organization in Ireland.

Job Description

Maintaining automation equipment is a critical aspect of this position. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, and validating automated production lines to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Support design, installation, and validation of automated production lines.
  • Process Characterisation / Optimisation (DFMEA's, PFMEA's DOE's etc.).
  • Lead systematic technical root cause investigations.
  • Support production line ramp to achieve mature production targets.
  • Develop and implement production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most efficient manner for new and existing additive manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor the additive manufacturing process; troubleshoot problem processes and assist in resolving quality issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess excellent organisation, communication, computer, and presentation skills. A honours degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a similar discipline is required. Additionally, 3-6 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with high-volume automated assembly experience and medical device manufacturing expertise, is highly desirable.
