**Design Verification and Validation Engineer Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Design Verification and Validation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the R&D team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our medical devices through design verification and validation.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field, with at least 8 years of professional experience in the medical device industry. You will be required to develop and qualify test systems and methods to support product development and launch, as well as execute design verification and/or design validation on mechanical or electromechanical medical devices.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement physical test methods and test fixtures to support design verification and validation.
  • Lead/executes test method validation (TMV), design verification, and test method transfer.
  • Author design verification protocols to satisfy product design inputs/system requirements.
  • Manage and track product configurations through design verification and validation.
  • Perform hands-on and simulated testing for design verification and test method developments.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in the medical device industry.
  • Applied experience in developing and qualifying test systems and methods to support product development and launch.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in statistical data analysis methods/tools, e.g., Gage R&R, Hypothesis Testing, Tolerance Interval Analysis, Acceptance Sampling, etc.
  • Working knowledge of applicable medical device regulatory standards.
