Kubernetes Systems Architect

We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes systems architect to join our team in Dublin. As a staff-level engineer, you will be responsible for designing and deploying robust, scalable, and secure on-premise Kubernetes infrastructures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with broad experience in delivering solutions across multiple layers of the technology stack, from bare metal servers to application CLIs/UIs.
You will work closely with service owners to influence priorities and shape feature roadmaps for existing capabilities, and develop new systems and capabilities from the ground up, ensuring clean code, rigorous testing, and scalability.
Additionally, you will provide consultation to service owners on their engineering needs within Systems Engineering, and work with a broad spectrum of technologies, including containerization, compute and network management tools, and foundational systems like DNS/LDAP/DHCP.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement Kubernetes solutions using the organization's current and future capabilities.
- Act as a representative for service owners to Systems Eng's internal Product Owners, influencing priorities and shaping feature roadmaps.
- Develop new systems and capabilities from the ground up, ensuring clean code, rigorous testing, and scalability.
- Mature and transition developed solutions to Operations for ongoing maintenance.
- Provide consultation to service owners on their engineering needs within Systems Engineering.
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
- Proven ability to drive change, with a passion for and experience in successfully introducing new services at scale.
- Strong technical background with broad experience in delivering solutions across multiple layers of the technology stack.
- A continuous learner who thrives on solving new problems, exploring new technologies, and sharing knowledge with others.
- Proficiency in software development, including experience in designing, authoring, testing, and debugging code in popular systems languages such as Python, Go, Ansible.
