Design and Build Design Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Design & Build (DB) Design Manager to join our multidisciplinary team working on infrastructure projects across various markets.

As a key member of our team, you will work directly with senior members to manage multi-disciplined design-build teams to deliver projects successfully. Your expertise in identifying project objectives, developing strategies, and managing risks will be invaluable to our team's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage design-build teams to deliver projects within agreed targets.
  • Identify and agree project objectives with the Project Director and develop a strategy for achieving them.
  • Manage potential contractual/commercial risks and escalate matters to the Project Director as necessary.
  • Set objectives, define tasks, and delegate authority to the project team.


Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:
  • Relevant experience in DB design/project management.
  • A Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent with experience managing design commissions on large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in a design consultancy office managing design teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.


In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess excellent leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and manage a team. You should also be able to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build strong relationships with clients.
