Job Title: Science and Technology Director

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a cross-functional team at a leading multinational organization in Dublin. As the Director of Science and Technology, you will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise for the Process Sciences Laboratory.

You will oversee the delivery of projects and investigational activities on schedule, while developing a talented team of Manufacturing Science & Technology Scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the MS&T drug substance team to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide technical oversight of biologics inline and pipeline products, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct technical assessments for process investigations and risk assessments to drive business decisions.
  • Coach the team on development and execution of technical studies, including experimental design, execution, data analysis, and interpretation.
  • Oversight of product robustness trends and alignment with laboratory models to ensure optimal results.
  • Lead and/or support the deployment of digital tools at the Biotech Dublin facility to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist in regulatory authoring and review of technical documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Support the creation of the laboratory budget to ensure effective resource allocation.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Masters in Biological Sciences/Chemical Engineering/Biological Engineering/Chemistry.
  • 8+ years working knowledge in academia, pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.
  • Working familiarity of current regulatory requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices.
