About the Role

This senior engineering position offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple technical disciplines, including automated manufacturing, robotics, thermal coatings, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of best practices in product/process performance within the Medical devices industry.
  • Establish a network with key divisional/corporate leaders, academic partners, and suppliers to enhance understanding of product manufacture and quality.
  • Drive high levels of employee engagement through effective support structures for engineers.
  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems, evaluating variable factors and developing system-level design strategies.
  • Lead design, development, testing, and refinement of systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Recommend changes in procedures and serve as a technical advisor to engineering personnel.
Requirements
  • Masters or equivalent degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • 6+ years of manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Desirable: Advanced Degree (Masters, Black Belt, or PHD) and experience in thermal spray coatings or related deposition technologies/materials science.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of leading a multi-disciplined team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, process improvement orientation, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Technological expert willing to source and implement technological advances.
  • Confident decision maker with proven technical leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.
