Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse
Job Description:We are seeking an experienced and skilled occupational health nurse to join our team in Waterford. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to employees, promoting a healthy work environment and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing clinical services such as vaccinations, phlebotomy and health screening
- Conducting pre-employment medicals and fit-for-work assessments
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records
- Developing and implementing health promotion initiatives
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- A registration in the general division of the live Register of Nurses maintained by Nursing & Midwifery Board Ireland
- A basic life support certification for health care providers within the last two years from the Irish Heart Foundation
- An initial national anaphylaxis education programme for health care professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills and administrative knowledge
This is a full-time position, working four 8-hour shifts and one shift per week. The hours/shifts are subject to negotiation with the local service manager.
The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills, be able to work effectively in a team and have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
