Medical Device Leader Job Description

We are seeking a senior leader to oversee the development and sustaining engineering of medical device mechanical products.

This is a strategic leadership job, driving innovation across product lifecycles in the medical device sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary engineering team for injection device R&D.
  • Drive project prioritization aligned with business strategies.
  • Build and strengthen core engineering capabilities, including V&V, DFMA, and DHF compliance.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver continuous product improvements and new developments.
  • Mentor and grow future leaders, ensuring talent development and retention.
  • Foster an innovative, collaborative culture with ambition for excellence and results.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Plastics Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years' experience in medical device engineering, injection devices desirable.
  • 5+ years' leadership experience managing diverse engineering teams.
  • Strong track record in product development, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Design for manufacturability desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly collaborative, with advanced technical and managerial judgment.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and results-focused.
  • Ability to travel internationally (25%).
