Financial Accountant

Job Summary:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Financial Accountant to join our team and contribute to the financial success of our organization.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to assist in year-end financial reporting, preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, and other related tasks. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong IT and Excel skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in year-end financial reporting and liaison with external audit.
  2. Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  3. Prepare quarterly management accounts.
  4. Prepare monthly reporting and reconciliation information within defined timelines.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stocktakes.
  6. Prepare statutory VAT Returns across the Group.
  7. Manage weekly payroll information.
  8. Assist in costing projects.
  9. Maintain and update internal controls to ensure integrity of financial reporting process.
  10. Participate in various projects on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified ACA/ACCA with a minimum of three years post qualified experience in industry and/or practice.
  2. Accounts reconciliation and preparation experience, excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  4. Strong IT and Advanced Excel skills.
  5. Experience of supervising a small team.
