Job Overview

This position is an integral member of the Nursing and Multidisciplinary team in the operating theatre suite/endoscopy suite, providing evidence-based care to patients undergoing surgery.

We are recruiting nurses for various roles, including theatre, endoscopy, and anaesthetics/recovery. Services provided include General Medicine, Respiratory, Care of the Elderly, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Surgical specialties, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice according to the Code of Professional Conduct as laid down by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland and Professional Clinical Guidelines.
  • Adhere to hospital guidelines/policies/protocols and ensure subordinate staff do likewise.
  • Work within their scope of practice, develop and maintain a high standard of professional behaviour, and be accountable for their practice.
  • Provide a caring, efficient, and highly professional nursing service to all patients.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, respect privacy, and dignity at all times.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years' experience in Theatre Nursing, Basic Life Support Training, and a relevant Theatre qualification (advantageous).
